Heretic Pride totally kicks the shit out of Get Lonely. Heretic Pride has more of the "this is sad but JD sings INTENSE" songs as opposed to "this song is sad so JD gon' whisper it" songs. John Darnielle's intense singing is what makes his other albums such as We Shall all be Healed and The Sunset Tree and Tallahassee and All Hail West Texas etc (he has way too many albums).
